Featured Piano Teacher at Fort Bend Music Center

Fort Bend piano teacher Laura Pratt. Laura graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Music Education and All-level Teaching Certificate.

She loves to teach voice and piano and is also proficient in woodwind instruments.
Her expansive career has included teaching Piano and Voice as well as being a choir director at various churches and at Middle school and High School, and as an accomplished accompanist.

Her hobbies are Gardening, reading, and playing with her grandchildren. Her favorite music styles include Pop, Classical, Broadway, Christian, and Country. She loves to listen to Sandi Patti, Il Divo, and Mercy me.

Laura has won quite a few awards over the years, but says,”It’s not about me, it’s about the student!

Laura loves to teach music because she feels that music broadens the mind of a child and helps them in all levels of their education and challenges them to excel to their highest potential.
