Sara Lee Morgan is a Certified Yamaha teacher and Passport to Music Instructor. She received a Bachelor of Music degree from Southern Methodist University in piano and organ. She has served as organist for several denominations of churches around the Houston area. Currently she is the organist for the First Presbyterian Church of Sugar Land, TX. During the 70's and 80's she played piano in nightclub/restaurant venues teaming with her sister for some of the time as a duo (piano, guitar, vocals). For the last 24 years she has been teaching for the Yamaha Music Education System. Her classes range from 4 year olds to adults (her favorite) in recreational organ and now exclusively piano. In 1992, she was honored to be the first teacher to be awarded the Yamaha national teacher of the year. She was selected to be part of the group who initiated the current Keyboard Encounters course, specially designed for beginner piano students. She is now with the Fort Bend Music Center where she teaches teen and adult Yamaha Education classes. She also is the Music Director for the Southern Plantation, a 66-room mansion, in which she plays as many as six weddings per weekend. Sara Lee has three grown children and six grandchildren, all whom live in the surrounding Houston area. She is active in the American Guild of Organists, and belongs to several other professional organizations.
