Shane Blume

Featured Voice Teacher at Fort Bend Music Center

Shane Blume "Mr. Blume is COOOL", seems to be a common comment. Perhaps his range of life experience has helped to create that teacher-that-everyone loves. After graduating from B.F. Terry High School, he went to work in his father's shop, repairing cars, and pursuing his hobbies of gardening, landscaping, fishing, and hunting; but his dream was to become an accomplished musician. Starting at Wharton Junior College, Shane began an arduous journey to earn his Master of Music Degree with a specialization in Kodaly Pedagogy. Along that journey he gathered many honors as a student, songwriter, recording artist, and teacher. Among these honors, he graduated Summa Cum Laude from Sam Houston State University, earning his Bachelor of Music Degree. Shane is an innovative educator who has developed curriculums to assure success for his students. In his first year at the school, his choir won its first Superior rating. He has comprehensive experience as a Vocal Coach preparing students for All State Choir and UIL Competitions.
